Personal Bits 001

Excerpts from a personals site.

What are the top three things you enjoy doing?

The three thing I enjoy doing the most include reading, writing, outdoor activities. I love camping, fishing, hiking, backpacking, and hunting. I generally spend a lot of time outside during the summer. During the winter I like cross country skiing and various other outdoor activities but spend most of the time inside.

I also enjoy reading and spend a lot of time at the local library. I believe that a good writer gets better the more he reads.

What are three things you least enjoy doing?

Bicycling against the wind would have to be close to the top of that list. It’s windy all the time here where I live and I’m forced to ride into the wind more times that not. In fact, doing anything in the wind will top this list. I hate the wind. I could go on for hours about it’s complete lack of purpose in this world.

The second thing I hate doing is trying to converse with people who lack the intellect to grasp the concepts of, and relations between liberty, authority and our (Americans) form of government – republic.

Hard manual labor. I hate it. Moving furniture and heavy lifting… I’ll hire someone to do it, and tip them well too. Manual labor is right up there with the food service industry. I’m a great cook, AT HOME! when it will always be my way and I don’t have to go into that darn cold walk-in.

If you had ten million dollars, what would you do with it?

If I suddenly came across ten million dollars the first thing I would do is invest in real estate. The steady income from rentals around the country would ensure me the basics. It would also allow me to pursue my career as a novelist.

The rest would go to a good not-for-profit charity- and not for tax purposes either, I’m 100% income tax free and proud of it. Actually, I have a perfect plan to ensure my future in all those respects, so the last thing I would ever ask for was ten million dollars when all I need is ten thousand (or even a hundred). Especially when there is always someone lazy enough to spend that much money.

Give me the chance to make the money with good-old-fashion honest work.

How would you describe your perfect day?

A perfect day on Earth. . . isn’t that an oxymoron, given the purpose of life? Yes it is- I write while listening to “Heaven is a Place on Earth” by Belinda Carlisle!

My perfect day would start with a music montage with the [perfect] wife and our [perfect] darlings (daddies girls every one of them) to blaring 80’s music that will carry us through breakfast. Next a 14 mile or so bicycle ride on the trails around my mountain castle in the evergreen forest with lots of wildlife, and an extensive workout in my private gym. Perhaps a lunch with the [perfect] agent or a [perfect] friend. A ten page writing session in my office just off the bedroom (at home so I can enjoy all the [perfect] funs and frustrations of the family). Dinner (all meals served at the table) fixed by me and/or the wife/kids. A few minutes of star gazing in the observatory on the top of the northwest tower (or other family activity) and, after the littles are in bed, a bit of unmentionables with the wife and back to sleep.

But that would be my perfect day. I’d settle for the day I get to meet that special someone who will help make all that possible, regardless of whether that turns out to be the only good thing in it.

What area do you need the most improvement in?

What ever will help me get a girl. If you have any idea (ladies), let me know.

Anything else you’d like to add?

Hey, if you see me, talk to me. I have been known as “cute and lovable” by girls who get to know me. I don’t bite, nibble maybe. . .
