Don’t ever forget, that it was Conan who coerced NBC to fire Jay Leno 4 years earlier! It was Conan who started this whole fiasco as a deliberate attempt to unseat the number one late-night talk show host for his own gain. It was he who threw the tantrum and stormed off for no legitimate reason.
So Conan thinks we are stupid enough to believe that he would not have accepted an offer from NBC to return to "The Tonight Show", AFTER his replacement (the guy who forced him off the show to begin with) flushed it’s ratings down the drain and left the show on his own accord, if he had been in Leno’s shoes?

I was a fan of both Jay and Conan, I was there (as a nightly viewer, of course) way back when Jay rightfully beat Letterman. I was there from Conan’s beginning and he was perfect for the job he had to the day he left it. I was still there when Conan took the number one show in the ratings and, long before Jay came leading in the news, sank those rating with a sub-par show.
I have been here for the whole ride, and it upsets me that Conan would insult me, after all he’s done these past years to weasel "The Tonight Show" from Jay Leno, by insinuating the he would never "have done what Jay Leno did" by accepting an offer to return, and that offer came after, that’s right AFTER, Conan left the show.
The right comedian ended up in the dog house.
